Two days ago, we went to an amusement park in St. Louis called the City Museum. A bunch of artists found an abandoned shoe factory and with a bunch of junk metal (stuff like old airplanes and busses) welded an amusement park.
When you first walk in, there’s a concrete whale with a bunch of holes connected to a complex tunnel system in it for people to climb through. The first thing I did when I got there was climb a concrete tree to a network of tunnels on the ceiling. These tunnels were mostly made of plastic, but here and there you would find some wood or metal mixed in. The space I climbed through was only about 2 feet high. It was hard work but I, being very small and very brave, did it in no time. I think I was the most adventurous climber of us.
There is a seven-story slide there. I was so energetic that I climbed up all those stairs twice, just to go down a slide that was done in about 30 seconds.
There is also a courtyard outside with a near vertical slide and an airplane 150 feet in the air. There are cage-like wire tunnels to climb through to get to these attractions, but they are small enough that a large person, having clambered the uphill half of the tunnel headfirst, might not be able to turn around and would have to also be headfirst going downhill. As a result of all this climbing, I am still very sore. The City Museum is so fun and I really hope we go back.

I miss you Audrey! Looks like fun- wish there was a place like that around here.
Fun stuff! Glad you’re in shape and energetic – this would be hard for anyone over 40!
You are brave and energetic and inquisitive and I have no doubt that you enthralled with this museum! I love to read what you write!
